Allan Houston and his family are being awarded The Dignity of Family Life Award from the Abbott House. This is only the third such award in existence. It is presented to individuals who personify the values and commitment necessary to preserve the dignity of family life. The award will be presented on Saturday December 12th, 2015 at The Dignity of Family Life Award Dinner.
The Abbott House Board of Directors stated, “As a man of faith and strong family values, Allan Houston lives his life with a determination to utilize his success as a professional athlete to help others while continuing to grow a variety of entrepreneurial interests. Recently appointed as the Assistant General Manager of the New York Knicks as well as the General Manager of the Westchester Knicks, Allan has been an international ambassador for the NBA, spokesperson for the National Fatherhood Initiative, ESPN analyst, and burgeoning book author. Allan continues to share his experience and life perspectives with an every-growing audience. Allan and his wife, Tamara, are the proud parents of seven children. ”
